Independence Day 2011

On 15 August 1947 India attained freedom from the British Rule.Every year August 15 is celebrated as the Independence Day in India.This national festival is celebrated with great enthusiasm all over the country.The Independence Day of any country is a moment of pride and glory.On this special occasion rich tributes are paid to the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives and fought to free their motherland from the clutches of the oppressors British who ruled the country.

Independence Day Speech

I am very honored to be here in front of you on this great day celebrating the August 15 65th Independence day of India this year 2011.We celebrate Independence Day of India on every Fifteenth of August from 8/15/47 to commemorate its independence from British rule and its birth as a sovereign nation in 1947.The day 15 August is a national holiday in the country and Thanks to our Tri color flag or the Tiranga Jhanda flag-hoisting ceremonies have been conducted by the local administration in attendance.The main event took place in New Delhi, the capital city of India, where the Prime Minister hoisted the national flag at the Red Fort and delivered a nationally televised speech from its ramparts.In his speech, he highlighted the achievements of government during the past year, raises important issues and gives a call for further development.The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh also payed his tribute to leaders of the freedom struggle.

It is now more than 60 years of independence is an occasion for looking back on past situations, ability our achievements, and failures, & creating the terrific action to reach the desired goal of a poverty free India, and fulfilling the aspirations of the nation, as expressed in the introduction to the Constitution.We should pay homage and express thankful to the lakhs of men and women, who took part in the freedom movement under the great inspiring leadership of Mahatma Gandhi.Gandhiji given special importance the need to observe human values in conducting the affairs of the nation so that we have a just and Fair and impartial society, where poverty, illiteracy, and superstition, are the eradications.We are proud to be Indians besides our culture, civilization, brotherhood on all religions, casts and communities, the most important factor is our National Tricolour which indicates all that our society stands for.According to me the message of our great tricolour flag is to use our freedom for constructing the flawless friendly neighbourhood.India is a really good country with so many bad people.India earned independence from Britishers in 1947 but most of the Indian folks are still slave & clutched in the hands of corruption. We have to put our best efforts to make them walk free.
